Student cooperation
We encourage young people to familialise with the modern bioforest industry and the variety of job opportunities available.
The collaboration between us and the students was active both ways; forms of collaboration are various, recruitment and networking events being the most common. In 2020, the two biggest events were the virtual "KouAhead" event for 9th graders and the “Commercial forest — Development and Sustainable Use” a forest trip for all 6th graders in the region.
6th graders joined "Commercial forest - Development and Sustainable Use" forest excursions, where they planted seedlings and learned about commercial and recreational use of forests, wildlife management and wood-based products.

The event was organized by UPM, the Finnish Forest Association and 4H.
